Description


NetDevil, located in Louisville, CO, was founded in 1997 with the mission of developing massively multiplayer games in unique settings for wide audiences. The studio is currently developing Jumpgate Evolution and LEGO Universe as well as an original IP.

The Flash Programmer works with a team of programmers, artists, and designers to deliver quality Flash software and user interface elements from a given set of requirements for online game projects. Assists the team in evaluating, discovering, and reshaping requirements. This position is for LEGO Universe.

Essential Functions

* Integrating design requirements into new and existing user interface code and assets
* Active participant in regular team meetings related to productivity, process, work flow and quality
* Review and test software components for quality and performance
* Break down tasks and provide time estimates to Lead
* Work with all types of development staff
* Position reports to Lead Programmer

Functional Knowledge:

* Excellent speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively on a team
* Deep understanding of user interface systems and ability to clearly identify and replicate what makes them successful
* Experience working on a development team and the ability to proactively recognize and raise quality issues and suggest appropriate resolutions
* Ability to develop clean abstractions and interfaces
* Must be able to integrate and maintain code/packages from internal and external sources
* Fluent in ActionScript (3+ years)
* Familiarity with Version Control Software (Ex. Alienbrain, Perforce, Subversion, Source Safe, CVS, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

* Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
* Passion for games
* Willing to relocate to Louisville, CO area (north of Denver) for full-time employment
