Native Instinct is looking for a Technical Lead to lead the development of the next generation of our product, a Flash and Flex based presentation engine. This is a contract position, with potential to become a full-time employment. The contract is for 3 months, full-time, starting as soon as possible. THIS POSITION IS FOR AN INDIVIDUAL, WHO CAN WORK ON SITE IN SAN FRANCISCO. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS AD IF YOU ARE COMPANY, OR IF YOU CANNOT WORK ON SITE AT OUR OFFICES. THANKS! This person will work with Native Instinct’s Technical Director, Creative Director, several Flash and ActionScript Developers and project managers to: • Define an architecture for a presentation engine that will dynamically load video, Flash, graphics and text elements. • Write Flex and Flash code to develop a framework and templates that other ActionScript developers can use to create animations. • Use Tweener Classes and ActionScript 3 to animate Flash elements in synchronization with video events • Code elements (text, graphics, video) in the Flash presentation to be dynamically accessed via an XML file through an administrative interface Requirements: • 1-2 years experience with Flex • Proven knowledge of Actionscript 3 (not just ActionScript 2!) • Experience using Tweener to create animations (not the "tweener" function in Flash, but the tweener class as described here http://code.google.com/p/tweener/ ) • Proficiency with Adobe Flash • 5+ years experience in software development • Knowledge of mobile applications and Flash Lite a plus • Experience in developing “shipped” software products • Experience building widgets for Facebook and MySpace a plus • Understanding of HTML, CSS, AJAX, Flash, and database capabilities and how these are used to create interactive user experiences. • Experience working collaboratively with a team of designers and developers. • Experience working at an interactive agency is also a plus. • BA/BS Native Instinct (http://www.native-instinct.com), is a San Francisco-based company that defines, designs and develops interactive products for our clients.
