Track as Menu Item

Hi everyone

sorry about this but can someone tell me what the
Track as Menu Item is for in the button instance panel?

i've looked in all my books and done loads of searches and
can't find anything on it at all.

is it a left over from some previous flash version? or am i
missing something intrinsic

it means that a button will receive a release event, even if the mouse was pressed while over another button. Mostly used for drop down menus I think
