okay so i am somewhat still a noob but i have an idea that i want to follow through with and build up to.

what would be the easiest way to have a series of rectangles (simliar to an excel document) that could be dragged and dropped and placed any where on a flash document.

make the rectangles, convert each to a button, add action script to each to make it drag and drop enabled?

and about the solution you can make only one rect. and duplicate it ...

its just going to be something for interaction on the website, the rectangles could possibly hold sections of an image, and when postioned correctly display the full image.. Or the rectangles could be links or words etc... still an idea in the works but you have the main idea.
