Hey guys,
This has just started happening to me...but why do you have to click on a flash movie to activate it before you can press buttons, etc???
just really pisses me off that you have to activate it first before being able to navigate...can this be turned off?
cheers
tom

It has nothing to do with Flash, so it can't be "turned off". I don't really know the details, but I think it has something to do with ActiveX, the possibility of malicious code and such issues.

yeah its a microsoft security thing, it stops the movie running scripts and the like until you give it permission by clicking

Are you talking about IE's new activeX issue, or simply that your movie doesn't have focus when it's starts, unless you click it first?

Or...

You will have to create a javascript file that is called to the page and IT writes the flash file to the page. You can't add the javascript in-line. For some reason, the js file has to be remote.

Its because flash files are getting more and more control over your computer. So it askes you to click on it first, so nothing can be running in the background (grabbing your cookies for example) without you noticing.

I'm sorry, no, you are wrong. Microsoft is adding a patch. Nice guess though.
