Hi all,

I'm doing a calndar with php/mysql backend that uses xml to pass the data to flash. I have one function in flash that loads the xml and takes args depending on whether you want to also do an insert, delete or whatever. It works fine with no args but returns nothing otherwise:

function doXML(arg,queryString) {
if (!myXML) {
usersXML = new XML();
usersXML.onLoad = usersHandleLoad;
myXML = new XML();
myXML.onLoad = handleLoad;
SearchResults = new XML();
searchResults.onLoad = searchResultsHandleLoad;
if (objectHolder) _root.objectHolder.removeMovieClip();//remove clip containing data objects if there is one
if (resultsHolder) resultsHolder.removeMovieClip();
var theURL = "action.php?action="+arg+"&startMonth="+phpStartMonth+"&endMonth="+phpEndMonth+queryString;
debug = "about to do xmlObj.load with "+theURL;
arg == "search" ? searchResults.load(theURL) : myXML.load(theURL);
//getURL(theURL,"debug");//this is a debug action...

See the getURL in last line? If I uncomment that the flash movie still hangs, but in the new window which is opened the php works fine...I need some help!

Sending the data in the querystring is clumsy I know, but it ought to work (and does in the new window)....
