SMIL in Flash

Hi,

I am trying to build a SMIL previewer in Flash, but am not sure if some parts are possible.

Is there any way of dynamically loading in .gif and .amr files to flash (and displaying/playing them)?

Has anyone worked on SMIL in flash before?
