Hi,
I told a client that I would fix their contact form utilizing PHP to do the processing, and then found out that the client is using AS 1.0 in their movie. Of course, I had assumed that the AS would be 2.0 and I didn't even ask before accepting the job. Mental head slap. The script that I wrote works beautifully in 2.0 (it uses variables out the yahoo), but now won't work with 1.0. My main question is: does anyone still create websites using AS 1.0? It seems completely assinine to me. But I may be wrong, which is why I ask. I have a feeling that if you are building a complete website with Flash you are targeting a certain audience, and that audience will have the most current Flash Player installed. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Why would someone purposely use depreciated AS?
I think I'm going to tell my client I'm not interested in the form. I can't even remember how to code in 1.0--I did it for such a short amount of time.
Thanks for your thoughts,
Lumen
