Well, my last query for the day is, i've tried making shape tweens in button animation, so basically when you put the cursor over the button, it moves about slightly (nothing complicated), but whenever i try any shape tweening on a button, it no longer allows me to click on the thing at all...

I went to the button animation, chose the frame for down, chose shape tween, then opened up the sub-timeline for the button, to make the tween in it.

I don't know if i made a mistake or whether its something that isn't clear, or what...

Thank you

hi eru,
well, i would say you should use an mc to make the animations you want, and then use it as a button, with on(release) or mc.onRelease...if you post some fla i will show you how to do it

sidenote:i have f8, the lowest that i can export is for mx2004...

take a look to the tutorials (http://www.actionscript.org/tutorials.shtml)section of this site, it would be good for your flash skillz to go throught them...
