I found a neat slider/portfolio file but evidently, it has to play by its own html file.

I'm trying to load it into a blank movie clip to integrate it into my site.

However, even when I try to just open the swf in Flash Player, I get a message about the first jpeg not loading because of a 'nocache' error.

I'm using Flash 8 but the file is saved for 6. Seems the swf file will only play if it is called by an html file...not loaded into another?

Here's the file that works on its own but not when the swf is opened in Flash Player, a browser or loaded into another Movie Clip:

NOTE: I don't remember where I found this:

Here's where you got it from...

But it's also posted somewhere on Flashkit.

Thanks..that gets the movie to load. Acting a little strange though as now the thumbnails are much further away from the main images and the movie doesn't unload when scripted to do so.

But, I'll poke around and see what I can find. Thanks for your insights..kj

I didn't say this would be easy... Just that it could be done...

The author himself says it's buggy and he doesn't support it anymore.
