object actions..

Hi.. sorry to bother you guys again
okay, i'm trying to add actions to a graphic, the thing is that all the actions appear grey (disabled).. i don't know how to activate them. I selected the object, but the actions still are disabled. What do i have to do to be able to use the actions? I'm following instructions, all it says is for me to 'create a button symbol, place an instance of it on stage, select it, and open the actions panel, then choose Actions>On'. I did all that but the actions are disabled.

it sounds like your "button" doesn't know its a button! The actions will all be greyed out of your object isn't a MovieClip or a button or something!

Open your instance panel (control + i) and then select your object on the stage - if the instance panel doesn't say behaviour = MovieClip or Button, then you probably have just got a graphic on the stage. Hit F8 and turn it into an MC or a button..
