Anyone know of a way to optimize Flash sites like mine (http://www.Birdinthecity.com) for Google? Some people say that adding Meta tags helps, while others claim that they don't.

Since I'm just a freelance Flash designer, I don't have the budget for large-scale advertising, and I can't get ranked for my all Flash site... HELP!

Thanks,
Brian

You mite wanna check this out:

and also this:

basically, the best way to increase your ranking is to increase the number of high-quality sites that link to YOUR site, but there is the problem of initially allowing google to crawl your site (discussed in the second link).

someone told me that if you have an ALL flash site, a trick you can do to have your page crawled, is make an html table on your site. inside this put a whole bunch of text, like some of the same text that shows up in the flash movie. then with CSS give it a negative x position of like 2000. so it shoves it off the screen, but TECHNIcally its in the html document...

does this sound like something that would actually work??
