This could be somewhat dumb question, but I am curious... :)

If you are creating a website with the .NET backend, do you require anything that the user needs to have on their computer like the Flash Plugin for the Flash site???

In other words, does .NET generate pure HTML that any web browser can render out perfectly no matter what OS/browser the user is on(just like the site with PHP backend), or do they need something for that matter???

I think the only requirements are on the server side. They need the .NET framework installed...but that comes with every windows isntallation now.

Though they "suggest" using the newer browsers, like IE6, etc.

Like IE6 or IE6 only??? :D

I would assume not only IE6...it would have to include the others, or else MS would really be shooting themselves in the foot...

Well... Isn't that what they are trying to do with the Windows Presentation Foundation??? You are coding only for Vista only nothing else... Way to go, M$...
