Different preloader issue

I have a little different of an issue that I'm trying to wrap my head around. My client has gotten a piece created by another company of a "virtual salesperson". Then I had to create a flash piece to sync up with the salesperson's presentation.

Problem is now to try to preload the external swf file of the "salesperson" to make sure my text swf file syncs up to it. I unfortunately do not have access to the external swf file so there is no preloader built into it.

Any thoughts on to how I can "preload" the external swf file to always play in sync with my own built swf? My mind has been mushed thinking about what can be done.
