Just curious to see how many Flash experts are programmers and how many are designers or graphic artists?

Design2Conquer; what's your second challenge for today?
Well i have been tring to do one of those things that are suppose to be simple. Sending a contact form... with 8 input text fields... and I was trying to get two radio buttons or checkboxes, but for now....:)
I have tried many ways, but am back to LoadVars today.
Now the challenge would be to get it working!

I'm a designer with 20 years of experience... and about a year in Flash. Talk about a mountain to climb! :)

i've been molded to be a programmer as i was the only one from my group of friends to continue learning flash after a 1 - 3hr session in school; back when flash 3 was the sh:eek:. i recently got back into flash after a two year absense so there's a lot of ketchup'ing up to do but i've been able to hold my own so for. 'till this day my friends won't bother with flash as they continue to give me project making me learn more and more about ActionScript and more important programming.

but with every position i've held with a company i've always had more than one title; currently i'm the ActionScript Programmer for a casino gaming company but i'm also their Director/Lingo Guy, Audio Guy, Video Guy and recently i've been asked to learn ASP, PHP & MySQL.

Well i am kinda starting to learn how to do some AS now :S I been more of a design as well I cant follow maths too easily but I really want to know some cool stuff. I am thinking about joining some AS course so I can be able to do the basic stuff.

I recon that If with my design talents wich are fantastic (people tell me all the time so it must be true) and knew just a tad bit of AS I could do some cool stuff.

Good question...

I'm a little bit of both, though I started programming in high school, picked it back up for a time several years later, and then went to a technical school and did code maintenance for three years, then I started working with Flash - that was in the Fall of 2001.

I use a bit of AS and design to accomplish the task. I usually try to make it easier on folks who might have to come behind me and upgrade the training files. I don't leave lots of coding notes since flash AS reads easy - just when there's a lot of math or variables!

I used to be really good with the Actionscript in Flash 5 back in the day... Then MX came out and I was never able to wrap my designer's brain around it. After MX2004, 8, and now CS3, I'm now trying wholeheartedly to get back into the swing of things. ARG. I'm a designer learning what has become a developers application.
