i have 3 layers i want to be masked by the same mask, how is that done?
again my knowledge surpass's my thought process... sorry i figured it out...

right click on the layer's property > check the masked box

Does anyone know how to do the opposite...masking one layer with mulitple masks?

mcdanyel,
1) Place your image on a masked layer.
2) Create the first mask in the mask layer above you image.
3) Duplicate your image in separate masked layer above the
first mask.
4) Create the second mask in another masked layer above the
duplicate image.
// Each of the identical images is affected by one of the mask layers, so really your image is affected by both masks.
// To see what your doing, either use transparent fill or choose the outlines option in Layers properties.

Thanks guys. We are about to upgrade to Flash MX at my studio so I guess this part of the project can wait now.
Snapple, thanks. That is the only way I could think of to do it. The only problem is it would be a LOT of layers, I mean a whole lot.
