I'v got one advice for you, don't embed the font! Not embeded font looks much more sharper and less kb.

You can find the embed font option at the "Text Options" > "Include entire font outline" ([..]). Uncheck this!

...I think it's so slow because of the anti-aliasing. It takes too much computerpower to render this much text.

Try it non-anti-aliased by putting the text into a dynamic TF.

Your font seems to be something like Verdana or so - it works fine non-anti-aliased too so there should be no problem.

And where is this "Text Options" ? I don't see any "[..]" either.
I only see a button saying "embed text", and in that it only shows which glyphs to embed. I am using Flash CS3

I have read somewhere that there is a applet file.
This applet is designed to read a text file and display the contents within your web page in scrolling format.
Might be this applet file is creating a problem for you.
Or may be your page is very heavy i mean that it's size is too big.
