movie clip/button/mask Quick question

hi!
heres my problem. i have a graphic that i pulled in from illustrator. There is a mask involved. It looks find on the stage as a graphic, but when i turned it to button then a movieclip it turned red. i am assuming that is the mask? any ideas? thanks!

did you include the mask with the button?
a red square usually means there's a broken link between your graphicals; i see it when i import gradients from illustrator and the masks included with illustrator did not import properly.
