Animating dynamic text

Hello,

I have a dynamic text object in a layer by itself. I would like to animate the dynamic text to correspond with animation happening to shapes in the other layers.

However, whenever I insert a keyframe in the timeline of the layer with the dynamic text, the text that is being displayed disappears. It's as if there are two instances of the dynamic text object and the value that is inserted will only appear in the first frame.

How do I animate a dynamic text object using keyframes/tweens but keep the text that is set during runtime?

Dont insert a keyframe, just hit F5 and insert a frame so the object appears thru-out the movie with whatever value you give it.

Hello, thank you for the reply, however, if I do that the dynamic text field doesn't animate.

I would like to make a tween animation of the dynamic text, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
