i'm having a problem getting fully justified dynamic text. it all appears fine in the fla file (and was in fact working until today) .... but for some reason, when i publish my movie into a swf file it looses all of the justification.
does anyone know if there is some sort of global setting or preference that i may have accidentally triped in flash to upset this all (it doesn't even publish my old 'working' movies with correct justification)...
any help appreciated, thanks..

weird!
I presume that you have already tried restarting your computer to see if the problem miraculously goes away?!
Is this just happening when you view files on your computer? Have you checked with anyone else to see if these files behave themselves on a different system?
will ponder this :)

i've tried this on other machines with other copies of flash5 ... and i've come across a similar situation. i've even tried just doing a sample movie with ONLY a dynamic text box with the same results. perhaps i'm just doing something wrong ... but i am able to center, right justify, and left justify...i'm just not able to fully justify my text...
what i'm doing:
--dynamic text box with text already inside (not set with actionscript as a variable -- i'm trying to avoid this)
--multi-line
--word-wrap on
--embedded font [...]
-- full justified selected in the paragraph tab
--font at 10point (although this doesn't matter)
any help is appreciated...could it be possible that flash just can't fully justify dynamic text?

Gosh no, you're absolutely right, I just set up a text box as you described on my machine and it doesn't work either...but you seem to say here that it did work previously?:
doesn't even publish my old 'working' movies with correct justification
are you sure you just didn't notice before? I know I didn't 'cos know I'm just as confused as you!

hmm, just did a search amongst the macromedia tech notes and nothing seems to be documented about full justification with dynamic or input text, though it does mention that this justification does not work on static text using device fonts:
tech note (http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/device_justify.htm)
Guess it's a related glitch?

Yeah, I'm as Graphics wanna see the work
But I also can recommend that u do yr justification to a HTML editor and see it works, then copy/paste to ye dynamic box

yeah...i'm thinking that i just never noticed the problem before. although i assumed it had been fully justifying the text -- i probably had just overlooked it whenever i was testing the movie.
so, i'm resigned to have jagged text (or pursue a HTML workaround)...
thanks everyone...
