networking inside a flash EXE ?

Hello there,

I need to send an e-card from an interactive CD.

is flash able to send variables to a database when it is published as an .exe file? If so, does it work on a mac? Where could I find this information?

I usually do this through a website, however the client does not wish to rely on people having the flash plugin to view the content.

I think the only way you can do is to use third party projector tools such as Zinc, SWF Studio, mProjector or Screenweaver... Go check them out...
