Hi all
I have almost completed my first site for a friend of mine who is a singer. THe site is about 80% done but I would like some feedback. Although the site is in Greek ( i'll start working for the English version soon) i would like to hear your opinion. I would like to thank actionscript.org for the help i found here. Feel free to be critical. Thanx in advance

ok...first things first...body margins to 0...that will get rid of that gap at the top. As for the design...something just isnt right. The background and the site clash..

Thank you for your time and your reply. As for the gap you mention it is weird because i can't see it in any of the pcs i tested it, i guess i'll take your advice for the margin. For the background i know... it sucks but i don't want the background to be just white,it looks prety empty. I wonder if there is such thing as transparent bckgnd in flash. I'll have to work on that too i guess. Thanx again

Ok, i think i corrected both background and margins. I wasn't aware that i can have a transparent background so i fixed it. Concerning the margins i set them to 0 but i can't see anything different in my pc so please tell me if anything changed in yours. Thanx

nice site so far. i really like the growing plants.
but, cota's right, the background is problematic. especially in the BIO your friend looks like she has a face tattoo.
maybe you could increase the framerate to make the site more fluid,
and get more detail on the pencil lines in the beginning, the face and hair area looks a bit sloppy.
greets
The gaps are gone...and the clash is gone...but the graphics are all blurry, for me at least...then again, I just spent 9 hours driving..so..

hi,
im running and old pc now, and it seems to choke on the animations for the button's onRollover...how are you doing them?
also, it seems like you are ussing the text in the buttons as an active area, then if you are not over the exact text the button deactivates, which is a bit anoying.
if its your first site, and you are able to finish it all, i think that is just super. The rest will come with time and work.

Hi and thanx for your responce
In all the pcs i've tested it there was no chocking as you mentioned. Maybe because there's pretty much coding in the buttons, computer power is needed. Actually the buttons are a movie playing forward on rollover and backward on rollout. The hit area shouldn't be just the letters, i have placed an invisible block just for this reason. For now i can't imagine a way to implement the site with less coding so that it can be viewed correctly in older pcs. Do you have the same problem with other "heavy" flash sites too or just mine?
Cota all the graphics is blury or just the images? if all the graphics is the case any ideas how to correct it?
cheers

i see, well...i would say that the tempeture has a lot to do with performance in my pc right now (weather way too hot) but no, it usually doesnt choke like that (at least not in a roll over effect)
