Filtering a datagrid with a textinput

Hey i just want to know is it possible to filter a datagrid using the values entered into a textinput in flash . I have seen the example on asFusion using the flash forms but i cant incorporate this code to an actual flash file any ideas

labelFunction should do the job. What kind of filtering it should be ?
