Hi,

Here is the problem, I have a crossplatform application that goes fullscreen on both. However, on the mac side the application will not stay fullscreen it shows the titlebar at the top of the projector with the location path written in it.

I have tried using 3rd party projector software but I can't take the performance hit from them compared to the macromedia projector. I have used resFool to edit out most of the other projector problems but cant find any where to remove the titlebar or change the titlebar caption. If there is no way to remove the titlebar, advice on how to keep the application from leaving fullscreen would also be helpful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

yes im having the problem on mac os x. on windows the fscommand fullscreen works perfectly and it stays in fullscreen no matter what. I'm not sure if the problem is a bug in the mac projector. I did some experiments and the droppping out of fullscreen is not connected to a specific project since if I create an empty flash projector with just the fscommand in it, it still wont stay in fullscreen.

I found on the adobe forums that there does seem to be a bug in flash 8 projectors on the mac that cause them to fail going into fullscreen about 90% of the time. Has anyone found a work around for this?

I need one of the following solutions.

1) A way to fix the bug and get the projector to stay in fullscreen
2) A way to remove the chrome title bar from the window(probably using a reseditter)
3) A way to change the titlebar caption so it doesn't display the path of the application( also with a resedditer)

Thanks

no.....no way to edit any wndow in flash player with resEdit cause it's a standard windows form not a res form or dialog .........tray FP9 it's now released on adobe.

and just remove the projector menu may this fix the problem.

Tried installing Flash 9 and this actually makes the problem worse. Apparently in the beta release of flash 9 the fscommand functions dont even work so it doesn't event ry and go into fullscreen under 9.

PS There are clear performance gains from 9 which is nice to look foward to

One of the ideas I was thinking of is director can create windowless projectors. Any idea how it does that and if there is a way to steal that out of those projectors? Also it must be pulling that path for the titlebar from somewhere which means if I pull it out it should stop putting the pat h in the titlebar

I have figured it out (I think)

The fact that it was intermittent should have been a clue, If flash is too busy, the mac projector fscommand is half assed. I had lots of XML loading on the first few frames and the title bar would appear 90% of the time but if I escaped out of fullscreen and then CMD + F'd it, it worked.

SO: I set the fullscreen command to launch after 1 second now with much consistent fullscreen launching.

there is a small delay, c'est la vie, it works now.
