mov to flash

Ok, so you guys keep saying convert your movie to flash. So What if I take a quick time movie and want to embed it in my flash, like a little 3d animation in the background. But that little converter changes the mov into an swf. Don't I need a fla inorder to get it into my already made flash movie???
just wondering because I've been working on this one project for a week now, and still can not figure out how to get the sound and the quicktime and the flash to export all at once.
please help me.

You can import Quicktime movies into flash but only for the purposes of editing. You cannot play a quicktime movie from flash. Your best bet is to mimick the effect in flash or export the flash to quicktime and play within a quicktime player. You would have to go to PUBLISH SETTINGS and make the appropriate changes to the export dialogue boxes within flash and then publish the movie as a quicktime file.
