Simple checkbox question

Hi all - I want to use a checkbox component to change the visibility state of a movie clip. I just can't seem to figure out how to link the two together.

(I also want to use a slider to control some other properties of the clip, but I figure it would be smart to figure out the checkbox first.)

Seems like it should be really simple, but the online documentation is pretty opaque. Advice?

your flash help panel is the best source of help around... anyway the code would look something like:


changeVisibility=function()
{
mymc._visible=mycheckbox.selected;
}

mycheckbox.addEventListener("click",changeVisibility);




if you open the help panel, then go to component language reference, you can select any component you want more info on... it even has example code.
