Library Symbol Link Count?

I need to do some heavy-duty cleanup on a library for a project that's two years old. Can't BELIEVE the junk in here.

Anyhow, before I delete anything, is there a way to verify the link count--i.e. how many instances of it are in use, either in the root or in other symbols? I recall reading something about this, but can't find anything. It makes the job much easier :)

there is a column in the library that displays this. By default, however, I think it is disabled (for performance) but you can enable it using the library menu in the top right of the library panel.

Note that this will NOT account for symbols created dynamically via ActionScript - only symbols on timelines.
