draggable, clickable movie clip?

hello,

anyone know the basics for creating a draggable, clickable movie clip? imagine something like a remote control where you can drag it around the screen but also be able to interact with the buttons on the remote control itself.

this shouldn't be too difficult but i'm having trouble finding an example of this type of thing anywhere.
