BLEEDA,
Well i may be a newbie - but i visisited that site a while ago, and i still love it just as much.
I know it looks rather stupid to go on this section of the message boards and just 'prase' someone, but really, after experiencing that site.....thats all i can do !
It really does have everything, usability is fantastic, it really is. If i were to pick one site where flash is entirely neccessary and at the same time usability is never comprimised, your site would be it ! But i supose i should really substantiate my comments shouldn't i ? - No problem ;
1) The very fact that you've actually given the user instructions on what to do, is spot on.
2) The menu never disspears, the user is never, ever stranded.
3) The site is nicely divided into two, navigation and content, good for clean and simple navigation of the site.
4) The simple fact that it only requires a mouse over...not another click, taking the user deeper + deeper into the site is brillaint.
Everything feels right, the simple navigation, the fact that it quite clearly needs to be done in flash, yet no annoying animations or uneccessary intro's. If there was one site that demosntrated good usability whilst combining flash - that would be it !
The colors are great. Design is nice. I feel slightly stupid just saying how good it is, and nothing else, but really for me, it strikes perfect balance between the interactivity of Flash and the sensibility of a web developer.
Snapple :)

Well I had a look at home last night and for some reason it just didn't agree with my graphics tablet pen, the cursor kept flashing all over the place and going haywire. Though I don't understand why that would happen. It wasn't my pen because that worked beautifully until I hit your site! Most odd. Anyhow I'll try again from work later :)

arrrgghhh I'd just written you a long critique then my stoopid pooter crashed. not happy
*pinK kicks her CPU*
hurumph
ok, pen worked fine today, no idea what was going on last night - prolly just throwing a temper tantrum cos I sat down to watch EastEnders and lost pen down the side of the sofa for an hour? maybe it was just getting it's own back? *shrug*
condensed version of what I previously wrote:
maybe it's just me but the new browser window appears behind "thanks for visiting" page which is confusing. I quite like that setup when it works, very polite, but to get thanked for visiting when you haven't seen the site yet is a bit of a jolt.
navigation - took me a while to get used to not having to click, but once I did it was nice, very smooth
grass pic - could do with attention, tiling is atrocious as is the quality
email form - you have loads of space on the page that isn't utilised, and the email form and text is tiny. When I sent an email I was also disappointed cos when it was processed it just left me with practically a blank page. Was expecting something more than that.
finished? - you say that the site is finished yet the external links don't seem to work and in the graphics section you say to click on the pics to see them better but I couldn't. Didn't do anything.
spelling - could do with checking in places
brb will post before pooter crashes again, I can feel it chugging again :)

(yep it blue screen of deathed :() continued...
maybe make that cursor arrow in the opening explanatory nav sequence green or at least more obvious? I just felt it could do with being more evident? more graphic? do you get what I mean? I know it's got the drop shadow, but a better visual treatment would be nice.
love the way you only get to see that nav explanation the first time you visit.
mouse here to open page - gets a bit annoying once you've mastered the nav, any way you could do a similar treatment to that as you did with the intro piece? only show it the first few times or something?
I like the use of the quote mark, you know I've used a similar thing in a site I'm doing for a mate, with any luck I'll finish it and post it here for sitecheck at the weekend, then you can tear shreds off me :)
and to finish:
congrats on the site though Bleeda, hope you take my above comments as they are meant, constructive rather than miserable!
It's a well built site, just needs a few tweaks to be fantastic :) You've obviously got the skills, you just need to push it as far as you can now ;) Go Bleeda!
aight

Good stuff Bleeda!
I can tell your a pot head, by the nice grass texture ;)
I like it, especially the way you do your site intro things. I think you should set some cookies up so when someone logs back in they dont have to watch the demostration again..
Good touches, good all round movement, I like it
Ta'Da
i do love my green
for pinky
grass pic - could do with attention, tiling is atrocious as is the quality i quite liked the pic and tiling so i'm not sure about this!?!
email form - you have loads of space on the page that isn't utilised, and the email form and text is tiny. When I sent an email I was also disappointed cos when it was processed it just left me with practically a blank page. Was expecting something more than that. i didn't want to make any text too big coz it looks horrid. i know what ur saying about page goes blank! what u would u like to c though. i'm not really sure what to put there. i thoguht at least the blank page would show u its actually been sent?????
finished? - you say that the site is finished yet the external links don't seem to work and in the graphics section you say to click on the pics to see them better but I couldn't. Didn't do anything. eerrrrmmm :D i aint finished dem bits yet :D. no i'd honestly forgot bout them!
i like the idea of a green arrow on the intro. gonna give it a try when i get a chance.
mouse here can be altered like u suggested. i'll ave a think bout the best way to implement it.
maybe it's just me but the new browser window appears behind "thanks for visiting" page which is confusing. I quite like that setup when it works, very polite, but to get thanked for visiting when you haven't seen the site yet is a bit of a jolt. a that shouldn't happen. i did post a thread hear and someone answered it so i just need to apply the code to make the site load on top of the splash.
good stuff though pinky.
any more comments from peeps?????
cheers
