I don't think there is a tool for this... but im HOPING there is a fast way to achieve this...

I know in a lot of cases using actionscript for this type of thing is the best. But in some cases, its easier or even better to use the timeline.

is there a fast way to achieve what is in the attached pics?

there are two pics. the one with the stuff lined up is the "before shot" and the one where the keyframes are stepped, is the "after shot"

I dont think Flash has anything that allows for that out of the box, but if its something you do often, you might be able to make a command that performs that for you (through jsfl - though I think the timeline commands are limited, you'd have to look into that.).

what is jsfl??

do you have a link to something that will tell me about it? ill search the forums in the meantime.

Flash 3's method of moving frames around was vastly superior to the way things are now... unfortunately "progress" dictates that the most useful features are often the first ones to be axed in new versions. :p

In other words... nope, no easy way. As a fellow timeline animator, I feel your pain.
