If a have a flash movie in a projector, what is the actionscript to allow file operations like reading and writing to a file? :confused:

Well, not with a simple Flash projector. You can use one of the third party projector enhancers to create projectors with more power. Look up:
SWF Studio by http://www.northcode.com/
Zinc by http://www.multidmedia.com/
or mProjector by http://www.screentime.com/

But, bear in mind most of those are Windows-only features. The Mac side is not as robust.

If you really want a cross-platform CD-ROM solution, use Director.
