flash 8 to flash MX

hi! anyone here knows if a flash 8 file can be converted into lower versions like flash MX? i also want to ask an actionscript code for play and stop buttons. A stop button should stop a music and a play button should play a music. hope you could help me, hehe. thanks in advance.

you mean save a F8 fla as f6? no you cant directly.

Flash 8 has a SaveAs function that lets you save as Flash 7. Flash 7 lets you save as Flash 6 etc.

yeah obviously you need to save as into Flash MX 2004 file format from flash 8, then open the file using flash MX 2004 then save it into flash Mx format.

we3ll it depend on how you construct your movie, a stop button maybe stop the playhead on the timeline but not the sound..maybe you could plays with the sound effect in properties pannel such as sync such as repeat,stream, stop or repeat etc to get some idea..
