Stop reading/close connections

Hi,

When parsing an RSS feed in my Flash Document, after the feed is loaded my browser still says "Reading from www.mysite.com." For some reason this is making links that open in a new window less responsive. This only happens in Firefox, but is there a way that I can kill all connections so that Flash will 'concentrate' on opening my links?

Also have "Transfering data from www.site.com..." message in the status bar even when data transferring was finished :~/
