Hi All,

I am new to jsfl and have some questions and perhaps misconceptions.

I want to use jsfl to build commands to speed up flash creation in the IDE. Is this a correct assumption about jsfl?

If so, my first command would be a command that would take the selected layer and stretch the time out moving all my keys the specific amount. Can this be done?

Are there ways to get information about the IDE and reprogram the IDE from jsfl?

Hi, welcome to the world of pain and occasional breakthrough that is JSFL!

You're exactly right about what it's for and what you can do with it.

You're using a flavour of JavaScript to script the IDE; one way of getting started is to use the History panel (enable show JavaScript), but the number of interactions which actually get recorded here is limited. There is documentation in Help; The only book I know to recommend (though far from perfect, it's been an invaluable resource to me) is Extending Flash MX 2004 by Peters & Yard from Friends of Ed. Note that the language has been extended a little in Ellipse(? 7.2) and subsequently Flash 8.
