View Full Version : Stupid noob question about free transform
hey i'm sorry for this dumb question in advance. i have a rectangle that i'm animating and i want the right side of it to stretch out so when i'm using the free transform tool to manipulate it it keeps stretching my rectangle on both sides equally when i just want the right side to stretch. how can i keep this from happening?

after you select the free transform tool grab that little outline circle in the center of the rectangle and move it to the right side. i think it's called the registration point. try that. now when you resize it will resize toward that point's new location.

you can also use the ALT key modifier when transforming a selection

Its called the translation point or pivot point. Registration point is the little cross hairs on a symbol that registers as the 0,0 coordinates of the symbol for actionscripting.
Of course i might be confusing them too.....
