Front Page Server Extension

Hello All,
I would like to ask you about froint page server extension?what does it do? and would it it affect ediiting the web page using front page if we diasbled it, we are facing security problems for using front page, i usually when i wanna chaneg any thing on our website, i open the IE and choose file and edit with fron page then i submit my password and username and change what ever i want and asev, would i still be able to do that if we disabled or removed it from the server. our website is www.ccc.gr, plz need your help, thak u all.

Front page extension allows you to add cool stuff like form, database, etc on your page. It won't do you anything if you disable it.

Front page extension is liked... a server side stuff .. what are the problems you are facing though? I'm using Frontpage to edit my pages but don't have any problem.

actually they say that for security reasons its better not to have the front page server extensions on the server, and in case we remove it, can i still be able to edit the website from my computer which has a permission to be connected to the server, what are the things that i am not gonna be able to do in case we removed the extension
