jprugh,
Hey, "extreme croquet" eh ? Sounds like a top idea, i can imagine a few players sustain some quite nasty injuries ? And it involves beer, really does sound like a brilliantly fun sport.
About the site :
Well, firslty music...intersting variations. Personally i loved the music in the 'rules' section, my kinda stuff. But it does sound a bit strange, it changing so much every tiem you change catagory, because usually music is there to enhance or create a certain environment, and if it keeps on changing it kinda defeats the point.
The Flash, technically is good, you've obviously been going without sleep and purchasing more energy drinks, right ?
However, the MC in the overstate of the buttons is not smooth, try and make it continuously loop, also its a little over the top, makes it hard to read.
I liked the color scheme of the site, and over all it is an impressive site. Loading times were good for me, no longer than 6-8 seconds.
Masking effect on teh title on the splash page looked neat, also like the scrolling for the profiels along the top, makes for good usability, alwasy new how to get 'home'.
Over-all, liked it. (Picky) - but some of the buttons seemed to 'jump' foward whilst others did not, as did some of the profile pics...not much to correct it.
Oh, yeah - you might want to make it a little more clear, as to when the user has entered the 'contact' section.
Hoped this helped,

Snapple,
Thanks for the comments. The music will be swapped out periodically - I kind of like having the different generes - not necessarily consistant but you do have the option of turning it off.
I noticed the "jumping" buttons, too but haven't had a chance to fix. Good idea about the over state.
I recommend extreme croquet to anyone brave enough to try it. It's a blast.
The 'rules' music is from the PI sound track - a wicked album!
Thanks again,
JP

First of all, kudos to using music from PI. It's one of my favourite movies ( along with Requiem for a Dream).
I like the site. I agree with the points snapple indicated, especially about the contact section and the mouseover button states. It's an unnecessary effect. The rest of your site is pretty clean and simple, maybe making simpler buttons would help them fit in more.
And I'll have you know I had to get really picky to offer some construction criticism, but... I can see the seam in the main background image and also the movie clip that is masked by the title 'jumps' once in a while. I don't think it's looping correctly. Seriously though, those are really really really picky things.
All in all I enjoyed it. It is good work. :)
