I added some sound to a site of mine but now it takes years to open is there away to compress the sound or make it load quicker, I have a preloader?

Hi...
I don't think it is going to possible unless you reduce the sound settings to the lower ones... I mean the one that says 22Khz, Mono/Stereo, 16/8Bit... It won't be too much of a big deal when you hear, but it will be when it comes down to the file size...
(Don't expect too much of an effect though... :))

I only have one sound loop that plays on the page opening. it just takes bloody forever to load.
I do have a preloader (which I have a question about as well see #2)
Attatch the sound to the site preloader? i don't know what you mean. My preloader sene 1 of my main page loads scene 2 which has everything in it some MC's and sound? (is that what you mean?)
#2 my preloader for the main page works great but when I try to copy the frames over to scene 1 of a different page it dosen't seem to work and locks up my internet explorer. do I need to re-create it for the new page (Seems kinda time consuming)
My site is www.critkit.com check it out and let me know if anyone thinks it coul load faster?

Sound is heavy. You want CD quality then you are going to wait.
I would go with mono sound first then cut quality. Make sure your sound is set to stream if you want it to load fast.

So i was playing around with the tutorial on the preloader attach sound method. and i did get it to work as far as I know. i took the tutorial and merged it with the preloader I currently already have.
2 things i am wondering about.
I vaguly remember something about some code that will get the (time) of what has been played and then when going to the next page it continues from there?
effect I want: My sound to continue from page to page except certain pages
the second thing is (maybe it's just the t1 service at work, but i don't see my preloader anymore. the screen goes blank then the page opens?
Could this be cause I put the MC with the sound code on the first frame of my preloader?
