Firstly, if you have DESIGN related comments, please post them here:http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=120090 .
Along with everything else, the move to the new site marks a move to a new server which is bigger, better and faster.
I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing fast speeds. I know I am. Please vote and comment as required.

I don't really see a big speed improvement yet... It could be the new CMS adding extra CPU time??? Maybe that's why I am still seeing 2~3 seconds delay with no content when I refresh any page???
It's not really a bothersome because it seems that it only happens on IE, but I'd love to get rid of it if possible... :)
i think its about the same for me.... maybe a bit faster. actually im sure he css has helped speed things up a bit instead of having to download all those img files the site used to use in its navigation.
i am not experiencing the delay other folks are talking about. not at all.
maybe instead of whining they should get a decent browser. haha.
same here, getting that little delay...which I wasnt getting at first..it only started happening when Cyanblue mentioned it...makes you wonder..

Hm... I know nothing about the CSS... Maybe that's somehow affecting the rendering speed??? :D

it seems that it only happens on IE
We've put JS in every page to randomly delay load times in IE so as to encourage people to move to better browsers. Like Firefox... or pretty much anything. ;) (j/k)
not to rain on your parade, but FF sucks! IE forever!

Jesse,
The forums want to post my message twice everytime I click the "Post Quick Reply" button.
And it doesn't show your own message if you try to edit it.
That, and also, before when you clicked "quick" it deleted the default text in the input text box.
Also, I have to click "quote" in order to post...

There was an issue with a custom template after the forum upgrade (which we just ran). I reverted to the new template... Should be fixed now.

Jesse,
I have to change my vote....ever since the "muti quote thing" showed up, the forums have been running a lot slower for me. It take quite a long time for post to show up and sometimes I can't even do a "quick" reply. I have to leave the site and come back. Once a post has been submitted, it is no longer added to the thread right away. It is actually there is just doesn't show up.

What browser are you using? Can you tell me if the problem still exist in 24 hours? Yesterday the server was re-indexing over a million posts after the upgrade, so the server was under heavy load...
That problem no longer exists for me.

Slow if I disable greasemonkey and adblock. Much faster since I installed the script that reformats the page to my liking and disables ads from loading. :)
