Site Alpha

I was wondering if someone could tell me how people can alpha fade there site down when they load an external site/video/etc. then use a button to reactivate it?

Just call the movie in a specific frame, and have a movie clip which overlaps the entire site with an alpha fade over the site to dim it.
i.e., if your site is on a black background, have a mc with a black alpha fade from 0 to lets say, 85% and it would dim the entire thing, and also call the ex. movie on top of that.
