View Full Version : Hiding menu in flash application

Hi!
In windows media player, and in several other players too, you're able too hide the original menu so that only the player is visible. I don't mean full screen mode, but the mode when only a small player is visible, which one can drag and drop across the desctop.
I attach a pic to clarify.
*I don't intend to create a player, just wondering how to make an application with the function "hiding menu"*

I take it you mean hide the menu bar across the top. As far as I know, you can't do this simply with the Flash standalone player. However, there are several apps for converting Flash SWF files into desktop applications, and usually there is an option to create a chromeless window (no menu bar, no tool bar, no border). Check out Zinc (www.multidmedia.com) and Screentime (www.screentime.com) to see two of the most popular such applications.
