MacOS X and IP addresses

Hi,
When you are completely disconnected from any network under os x your ip disappears under websharing. I am trying to test pages locally with php but because there is no ip I can not load them. Is there anyway around this??

Have you tried enterring "localhost" as your IP? Or 127.0.0.1 . Both refer to the current system, and I don't think they're Windows specific.
