But would really like to add a lot more.

Any thoughts

stormnikki98,

Nice site, liked the art work along the top and in the intro/splash page. Nice navigation, always there for me, never lost. Liked the idea of using screens as the nav buttons, animated head was cool too.

One picky thing, was that the images that slowly went off into the distance, tended to 'bounce up and down a little' in the DIGIT INTRODUCTION section.

Liked the sub menu's in the different sections.

Over all, i liked it, fun yet proffessional, might want to consider allowing the info to be displayed / enter the main stage more inventively, rather than just switching on and off, although i understand this can add to file size. - which reminds me, loading time were good for me, around 4-5 seconds, pre-loaders were nice aswell.

Site felt a bit plain, i after the intro page and the top part of the site, i kinda expected something more on the lower part of the page...like in the 'contact us' section with that rather attractive woman - that looked good, just made it look more balanced.

Hoped this helped,

Snapple :)

Aaargh!

The site is sooooo masterfully presented (artwork, images, colors, style) that it is a shame that there is so many window popping up, bothering the view... :)

Yeah, I clicked to close one of those, and when I got back to the main page, my mouse was "stuck" to it. I moved up to the upper right corner and it came "unstuck", but then I couldn't grab the damn thing to drag it back to center. Result? ALT+F4. I did discover, though, on the "chromeless window" (nice, btw...) the ability to resize. That was a surprising discovery....

Pretty cool. I have only a few minor comments...

1. Noticed artifacting on woman's cheekbone in main window. I think your jpg compression might be a little too much. index3_05.jpg is only like 8 k so I think you could up the quality on these pics a little. I do really like the pics though.

2. The six main nav boxes with that gradient on them. The gradient doesn't make any sense, making them stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe set it up so either there is one gradient for the whole set (instead of each with it's own), or use a solid colour?

3. The 'Conferences, Masterclasses and Seminars' scrollbar looks like a scrollbar and the arrows work, but there's no scroller? I have just a blank grey bar with arrows but no box to grab and slide up and down.... either make it look unlike a scrollbar and act unlike a scrollbar, or have it look and act like a scrollbar. Anything else will confuse me.

4. I like the different animations for the different sections. Pretty snazzy, especially the one with the people and the screen and the threshold-ed guy talking. Cool.

5. Blinking 'DiGiT forum have your say' button REALLY stands out. I guess that's the point... but it feels really forced and unnatural. Maybe just change it's alpha to 50 instead of 0 as it keeps distracting my eye from the snazzy filmstrip animation. Speaking of which, how come the notches on the film strip don't move as well?

6. The pic with the apple g4 in it has the apple backwards. If I had a mac I may be offended :D

These are pretty minor things, except for maybe number 2. Overall I'd agree with snapple- the site just feels like it's missing something. Obviously someone with a lot of talent made that splash screen thing with the woman and explosions and stuff and I think the rest of the site looks a little dull in comparison (rarely, though). A lot of the buttons are alpha'ed out which doesn't match the excitement/vibrance/boldness of the banner picture. Despite that, though, it's well done.
