Reading folder contents

Hi,
I'm trying to get all the files in the folder - to get some sort of a collection with all the files/file names in a folder. Can you please help?

You'll probably need to talk to a server-side script to get that (if you're on a web server). Flash doesn't have that ability natively. It's a potential security risk.

Edit: Alternatively, if you're running your SWF locally, you should look into one of the various projector solutions out there. I think Zinc (http://www.multidmedia.com/software/zinc/) is pretty popular, but there are others too. Adobe has stated that the upcoming Apollo (http://www.adobe.com/go/apollo) project will have file system access too.
