IE ActiveX & SWFObject Error
Hi, I've been using SWFObject to embed swfs and been having suceessful results. However, a client of mine is still seeing the dash border around IE while all the computers I've tested on don't have the issue. He is using IE6, JS enabled, XP SP2. I've also made sure that he is seeing the most current site as well.
Can anyone think of any cause that he is still seeing the border?
Thanks,
Al

have you compared the preferences of the 2 apps?
have you compared the preferences of the 2 apps?
wonderful tip, let me check with the client.
Thanks!
Albert
I tested on my own system, and yes, by setting the security level to high will enable the dash border, but I've asked my client to set it to Windows default value(mid) and he is still seeing the border...arrgh
any other thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Al

there must still be a setting in the prefs that is causing problems. Choosing one of the presets may not be enough - might need to good through each sections of the prefs manually and find the one causing the problem
I'm on a mac so I can't check it sorry
sounds good, Billy. Thanks for the tips!

no problem
when you find the offending pref please post it on here
Thanks
It was totally weird, I tested on my machine, and the default setting, midume, shows no dash lines, so I asked my client to check his settings, and it was midume as well. So, I guess it's an isolated instance since we were unable to reproduce the problem anywhere else.
My guess is that his security settings were once tweaked by someone.
