So that we can present some form of consistent review, we'd like to build a bit of a template for them. Here's what I've put together so far, please feel free to make suggestions.
Note the length of this page is pretty long and it's all fake content. Real reviews would be expected to be much longer, depending on what the product was which is being reviewed. E.g. a book review should possibly be two A4 pages. A component review might be just one page.
Article title should be:
Review - Product X
And category should be "Product Reviews"
Article body should include the following:
--
Product Name: Product X
Price:
Authors & Publisher if a book OR Manufacturer / distributor if another form of product
Snapshot:
Score: Z/10
Overview: Product X is a solid tool at a reasonable price <or something>.
Pros:
<rah>
<blah>
<foo>
Cons:
<meh>
<bah>
<moo>
About Product X
<Free-form info on the product, which should include a link to the homepage or product page of the supplier, a bit of info on the purpose of the product and anything else relevant>
First Impressions
<Some info on what you thought about it when you first started using it.>
Detailed Analysis
<More info on the pros and cons and features. Your opinion of the product is mainly fleshed out here. This will vary in length greatly. If it's a small component then this may be short. If it's a book then this would be expected to be a bit longer, and give an overview of the book structure (e.g. chapters X - Y cover blah).>
Closing Thoughts / Summary
<Anything else you want to say. Perhaps suggestions for improvements, or info on what other products this product might tie in with.>
