Hello everyone,
Is it possible to save and load files from an external file?
So far i have just played around and gotten as far as loading variables into my swf, but i wanna be able to save the "new" variables back into the same file (if possible).
As of now my code gets an error when I use the "GET" argument says somthing along the line of unable to open file .... Any suggestions how i can make this work?

This one has been asked many times. Always use the search function before asking here. No need to answer the same question over and over again, right ?
Good luck with your prob ! :)

Allthough this thread should be closed, or redirected to the FAQs, I have to tell you that the best way to send data back to files is through some server-side database structured package.
You will have several choices, such as Perl/CGI, PHP/MySQL, ColdFusion with Dreamweaver MX, and ASP/InterDev/SQL...
Suite yourself and read the FAQ :)

I know this is one of the over asked questions here but i didn't learn how to do this until about 6 months ago using the CGI scripts (pain in the a*%)!
Since then I have dug around and kind of combined Jesse's great PHP tuts with some others I have found and I came up with a really simiple PHP way to do. Let me know if want it. I can send you my test.fla, php, and txt files. You came look at them then modify to hearts desire.

Sounds good ! How about submitting it to the movies section ? :)
*points at the blue-greyish bar with the button on them*
I'm sure others will find it most usefull as well.
