I'm curious to see if this subject grabs anyone's attention
I'm using the Stage.scaleMode = "noScale" feature to fill up the entire browser viewing area without stretching the content. As I'm sure you're aware, you have to embed the SWF with 100% hieght and width in HTML. This of course makes the browser scrollbar useless since no matter how much content there is within the SWF, the embedding code only allows for it to take up the available viewing area. This can cause problems for those who are at 800x600 screen resolution since I'm developing for 1024x768.
I tried fixing this using the UIScrollBar, but this wont work because the movieclip it is attached to will simply grow in size witht he more content that is added to it, and so too will the attached scroll bar. I even tried importing the HTML embedding code into a textField, but nothing shows up.
Has anyone fiured out a way to force either a browser or UIScrollBar while being able to take advantage of noScale? Perhaps there is another method I missed? Thanks!
