datagrid scrolling not wanted

I am having no sucess in removing the scrolling behaviour of a datagrid.

A user selects an item from it and drags the item away from the datagrid and as there are more items than it is deep the datagrid starts to sroll down as the item is dragged. The item is eventually dragged off of the datagrid totally but it continues to scroll.

I have tried to continually set focus to another component but it doesnt work.
I cant see any properties to remove this scrolling behaviour.

Any thoughts guys ?

Go to live docs (http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/2/langref/) and look up scrollPolicies for DG's. It will tell you what you need to know. But in short, try changing the verticleSrcollPolicy property to off (mx.core.ScrollPolicy.OFF), when you don't want it.
