Hi,
I have a small problem. I have created a Flash site for a client. The site and the font (myriad) look good in all normal screen resolutions. But by some reason, my client uses screen resolution 800x600 himself. I had to create a script that "shrinks" the site to fit the user's screen resolution. This works pretty well, but the letters look horrible, almost unreadable. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could to ? Are there any fonts that work better with this screen resolution?

Best,
WTK

you might be better creating it fo 800x600 if you want it to look good... or make the fonts bigger.....

thanks for your tips. only problem is, that if i make the site 800x600 by default, it looks way to small in high screen resolutions! (this is actually a very common problem in flash sites). And if i let the site fill the screen, the bitmaps will of course get distorted! I noticed though, that the text doesn't look that bad in 800x600 on good screens (mine is a bit old). Hopefully most users use a higher resolution.

Myriad isn't such a good screen font.
To be readable at resolutions higher than 1280 x 1024, should be at least 11 - 12 pixels. A typeface with a bigger x-height helps too.

Consider pixel fonts, else for anto-aliased text, go for sans serifs like Helvetica, Univers, Avenir, Frutiger.
